‘Le monde nouveau de Charlotte Perriand’
(‘Charlotte Perriand: Inventing a New World’)

Le Corbusier’s oil painting (1931), ‘Harmonie périlleuse à la lanterne’ is presently on loan from Gallerie Taisei (Tokyo, Japan) to Fondation Luis Vitton (Paris, France) for a large scale exhibition, ‘Le monde nouveau de Charlotte Perriand’ (‘Charlotte Perriand: Inventing a New World’).
The retrospective exhibition dedicated to Charlotte Perriand, who had collaborated with Le Corbusier and his atelier for an extensive period in the 1920s and 1930s, and also contributed to the definition of a new art de vivre, covers her as an architect and visionary creator through an exhibition of her multifaceted work exploring the links between art, architecture and design. In addition to her furniture, models and photographic works, on the synthesis of art as the theme, the exhibition introduces also the works of various artists who had been close to and/or associated with her.
